# Arccos Golf vs Shot Scope

The clearest difference is monetization model: Shot Scope at free against Arccos Golf's free with in-app purchases. Arccos Golf's advantage is ratings volume (33K vs 1.3K). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Arccos Golf sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $199.99 per year and Shot Scope sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Arccos Golf against 4.6 for Shot Scope. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Arccos Golf has 33K ratings behind it against 1.3K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 41% of Arccos Golf's written reviews are positive against 42% of Shot Scope's.

Arccos Golf ships an update every 2 weeks, Shot Scope every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
