# CloudConvert vs MP4 Maker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: CloudConvert at 75% against MP4 Maker's 26%. CloudConvert also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1). MP4 Maker's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 3.8) and ratings volume (2.3K vs 80). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MP4 Maker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. CloudConvert asks for nothing beyond the download.

MP4 Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MP4 Maker has 2.3K ratings behind it against 80, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of CloudConvert's written reviews are positive against 26% of MP4 Maker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CloudConvert ships an update fortnightly, MP4 Maker weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
