# CloudConvert vs Whisper

The clearest difference is rating: Whisper at 4.6 against CloudConvert's 4.0. Whisper also leads on ratings volume (409 vs 99). CloudConvert's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 35%) and in-app purchases (none vs 5). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Whisper sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. CloudConvert asks for nothing beyond the download.

Whisper holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 99 and 409 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of CloudConvert's written reviews are positive against 35% of Whisper's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
