# IPFS Connect vs InspectRate

The clearest difference is rating: InspectRate at 5.0 against IPFS Connect's 3.9. InspectRate also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (15.0.0 vs 17.0). IPFS Connect's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (811 vs 4). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. InspectRate sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $39.00 per month. IPFS Connect asks for nothing beyond the download.

IPFS Connect ships an update every 3 months, InspectRate every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
