# Picflix vs Slide Show Makér

The clearest difference is rating: Slide Show Makér at 4.4 against Picflix's 3.9. Slide Show Makér also leads on ratings volume (12K vs 118) and device support (4 vs 2). Picflix's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 38%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Picflix sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Slide Show Makér sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Slide Show Makér holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Slide Show Makér has 12K ratings behind it against 118, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Picflix's written reviews are positive against 38% of Slide Show Makér's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Picflix ships an update fortnightly, Slide Show Makér monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
