# Checkers Mobile vs Mr Checkers

The clearest difference is ads: Mr Checkers at none against Checkers Mobile's shown. Mr Checkers also leads on review sentiment (78% vs 50%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 9 months). Checkers Mobile's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (135 vs 31). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Checkers Mobile sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Mr Checkers sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.49 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Checkers Mobile holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 135 and 31 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Checkers Mobile's written reviews are positive against 78% of Mr Checkers's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Checkers Mobile ships an update every 9 months, Mr Checkers every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
