# Tixr vs ChuckleChat

Tixr and ChuckleChat both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of ChuckleChat's written reviews are positive against 23% of Tixr's. ChuckleChat also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). Tixr's advantage is price (Free vs $1.99) and ratings volume (14K vs 1). On rating, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Tixr is free to download; ChuckleChat costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ChuckleChat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tixr has 14K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 23% of Tixr's written reviews are positive against 100% of ChuckleChat's.

Tixr ships an update fortnightly, ChuckleChat every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
