# Dinosaur Discovery vs ARLOOPA

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Dinosaur Discovery at none against ARLOOPA's 13. Dinosaur Discovery also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 15.0). ARLOOPA's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ARLOOPA sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Dinosaur Discovery asks for nothing beyond the download.

Dinosaur Discovery holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ARLOOPA has 1.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of Dinosaur Discovery's written reviews are positive against 64% of ARLOOPA's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dinosaur Discovery ships an update every 3 months, ARLOOPA fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
