# Brain Wars vs BrainUP

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Brain Wars at 65% against BrainUP's 27%. Brain Wars also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (2.5K vs 197). BrainUP's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Brain Wars sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and BrainUP sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Brain Wars holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brain Wars has 2.5K ratings behind it against 197, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 65% of Brain Wars's written reviews are positive against 27% of BrainUP's.

Brain Wars ships an update every 6 weeks, BrainUP every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
