# WinSplits vs Livelox Recorder

The clearest difference is rating: WinSplits at 5.0 against Livelox Recorder's 4.1. WinSplits also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). Livelox Recorder's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 6 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WinSplits sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Livelox Recorder asks for nothing beyond the download.

WinSplits holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Livelox Recorder has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

WinSplits ships an update every 3 weeks, Livelox Recorder every 6 days. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
