# Study Songs vs barsecrets

The clearest difference is rating: barsecrets at 5.0 against Study Songs's 3.8. Study Songs's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (20 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Study Songs sells 14 one-off in-app purchases and barsecrets sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $38.99 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

barsecrets holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Study Songs has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Study Songs ships an update every 4 months, barsecrets every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and June 9, 2026 respectively.
