# TestMasters vs LSAT Prep

The clearest difference is rating: LSAT Prep at 4.6 against TestMasters's 1.5. LSAT Prep also leads on ratings volume (284 vs 2) and update cadence (every 4 months vs every 8 months). TestMasters's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LSAT Prep sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $24.99 per month. TestMasters asks for nothing beyond the download.

LSAT Prep holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LSAT Prep has 284 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of TestMasters's written reviews are positive against 27% of LSAT Prep's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TestMasters ships an update every 8 months, LSAT Prep every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
