# Photo Metadata Viewer vs Mobile TraQ

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mobile TraQ at 100% against Photo Metadata Viewer's 47%. Mobile TraQ also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months). Photo Metadata Viewer's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (588 vs 4). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Photo Metadata Viewer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Mobile TraQ asks for nothing beyond the download.

Photo Metadata Viewer holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Photo Metadata Viewer has 588 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Photo Metadata Viewer's written reviews are positive against 100% of Mobile TraQ's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Photo Metadata Viewer ships an update every 3 months, Mobile TraQ every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
