# Notex vs Notes

The clearest difference is rating: Notes at 4.9 against Notex's 4.1. Notes also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 72%). Notex's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (66 vs 8). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notex sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notes holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notex has 66 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 72% of Notex's written reviews are positive against 100% of Notes's.

Notex ships an update every 3 weeks, Notes every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
