# Notex vs Appnote

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Appnote at none against Notex's 1. Appnote also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (85% vs 72%). Notex's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (66 vs 3). On price, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notex sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Appnote asks for nothing beyond the download.

Notex holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notex has 66 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Notex's written reviews are positive against 85% of Appnote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Notex ships an update every 3 weeks, Appnote every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
