# TG5 vs CDR

The clearest difference is ads: CDR at none against TG5's shown. CDR also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 16.0). TG5's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 20 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TG5 ships an update every 2 months, CDR every 20 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and August 25, 2026 respectively.
