# RocketRoute FlightPlan vs OwnNav

The clearest difference is rating: OwnNav at 5.0 against RocketRoute FlightPlan's 3.3. RocketRoute FlightPlan's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RocketRoute FlightPlan sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and OwnNav sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OwnNav holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RocketRoute FlightPlan has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

RocketRoute FlightPlan ships an update fortnightly, OwnNav every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
