# Marubox DVR vs Trassir

The clearest difference is monetization model: Marubox DVR at free against Trassir's free with in-app purchases. Marubox DVR also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). Trassir's advantage is review sentiment (25% vs 10%) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Marubox DVR ships an update every 3 months, Trassir every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
