# Fancy Units Converter vs Unit Converter

The clearest difference is update cadence: Fancy Units Converter at every 3 weeks against Unit Converter's every 13 months. Fancy Units Converter also leads on ratings volume (1.6K vs 13) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.4). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fancy Units Converter sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Unit Converter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Fancy Units Converter against 4.8 for Unit Converter. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fancy Units Converter has 1.6K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Fancy Units Converter ships an update every 3 weeks, Unit Converter every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
