# Zola vs LivePapers

The clearest difference is price: Zola at Free against LivePapers's $1.99. Zola also leads on rating (4.9 vs 1.2) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 months). LivePapers's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 15). On ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Zola is free to download; LivePapers costs $1.99 up front. Zola sells 13 one-off in-app purchases. LivePapers asks for nothing beyond the download.

Zola holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 1.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zola has 99K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 46% of Zola's written reviews are positive against 24% of LivePapers's.

Zola ships an update every 3 days, LivePapers every 3 months. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
