# Taxicode vs Edinburgh Flight Information

The clearest difference is rating: Edinburgh Flight Information at 5.0 against Taxicode's 3.9. Edinburgh Flight Information also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Taxicode's advantage is review sentiment (61% vs 25%) and in-app purchases (none vs 2). On price, monetization model, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Edinburgh Flight Information sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Taxicode asks for nothing beyond the download.

Edinburgh Flight Information holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Taxicode has 41 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Taxicode's written reviews are positive against 25% of Edinburgh Flight Information's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Taxicode ships an update every 3 weeks, Edinburgh Flight Information weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
