# Taxicode vs Apex Hotels

The clearest difference is rating: Apex Hotels at 4.7 against Taxicode's 4.0. Apex Hotels also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Taxicode's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Apex Hotels holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 42 and 48 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Taxicode's written reviews are positive against 58% of Apex Hotels's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Taxicode ships an update every 3 weeks, Apex Hotels every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
