# Canada Press vs La Voix de l'Est

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: La Voix de l'Est at none against Canada Press's 4. La Voix de l'Est also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 12 months). Canada Press's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (55 vs 4). On price, review sentiment, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Canada Press sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. La Voix de l'Est asks for nothing beyond the download.

Canada Press holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Canada Press has 55 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Canada Press's written reviews are positive against 62% of La Voix de l'Est's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Canada Press ships an update every 12 months, La Voix de l'Est every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
