# Canada Press vs Le Devoir Virtuel

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Le Devoir Virtuel at none against Canada Press's 4. Le Devoir Virtuel also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.6). Canada Press's advantage is ratings volume (55 vs 8) and review sentiment (59% vs 50%). On price, update cadence, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Canada Press sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Le Devoir Virtuel asks for nothing beyond the download.

Le Devoir Virtuel holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Canada Press has 55 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Canada Press's written reviews are positive against 50% of Le Devoir Virtuel's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Canada Press ships an update every 12 months, Le Devoir Virtuel every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
