# Weight Tracker vs YouGain

The clearest difference is ads: YouGain at none against Weight Tracker's shown. YouGain also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.4). Weight Tracker's advantage is ratings volume (180 vs 3) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Weight Tracker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and YouGain sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

YouGain holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Weight Tracker has 180 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 93% of Weight Tracker's written reviews are positive against 100% of YouGain's.

Weight Tracker ships an update every 6 weeks, YouGain every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
