# Zlagboard vs BoulderBot

The clearest difference is review sentiment: BoulderBot at 75% against Zlagboard's 15%. BoulderBot also leads on rating (4.4 vs 3.0) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Zlagboard's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 14.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Zlagboard sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and BoulderBot sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BoulderBot holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BoulderBot has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 15% of Zlagboard's written reviews are positive against 75% of BoulderBot's.

Zlagboard ships an update every 9 days, BoulderBot every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
