# PlayGem Backgammon Live Online vs Backgammon Clubs

PlayGem Backgammon Live Online and Backgammon Clubs both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 52% of PlayGem Backgammon Live Online's written reviews are positive against 19% of Backgammon Clubs's. PlayGem Backgammon Live Online also leads on ratings volume (16K vs 4.5K). Backgammon Clubs's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly) and chart position (#87 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PlayGem Backgammon Live Online sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and Backgammon Clubs sells 18 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Backgammon Clubs holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 16K and 4.5K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of PlayGem Backgammon Live Online's written reviews are positive against 19% of Backgammon Clubs's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PlayGem Backgammon Live Online ships an update monthly, Backgammon Clubs every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
