# Install New Fonts vs RixFontCloud

The clearest difference is rating: Install New Fonts at 3.0 against RixFontCloud's 2.5. Install New Fonts also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (16 vs 2). RixFontCloud's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (44% vs 23%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Install New Fonts sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. RixFontCloud asks for nothing beyond the download.

Install New Fonts holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Install New Fonts has 16 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of Install New Fonts's written reviews are positive against 44% of RixFontCloud's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Install New Fonts ships an update weekly, RixFontCloud every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
