# School Diary vs Skolaro

The clearest difference is rating: Skolaro at 5.0 against School Diary's 3.0. School Diary's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Skolaro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: School Diary has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of School Diary's written reviews are positive against 16% of Skolaro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

School Diary ships an update fortnightly, Skolaro every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
