# Mind Games vs Chimp Test

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Mind Games at none against Chimp Test's 1. Mind Games also leads on ratings volume (12K vs 2) and review sentiment (84% vs 71%). Chimp Test's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chimp Test sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Mind Games asks for nothing beyond the download.

Chimp Test holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mind Games has 12K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Mind Games's written reviews are positive against 71% of Chimp Test's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mind Games ships an update every 3 weeks, Chimp Test every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
