# Only Flaps And Horses vs Octopus Evolution

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Octopus Evolution at 93% against Only Flaps And Horses's 25%. Octopus Evolution also leads on ratings volume (4.1K vs 1). Only Flaps And Horses's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Octopus Evolution sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Only Flaps And Horses asks for nothing beyond the download.

Only Flaps And Horses holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Octopus Evolution has 4.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of Only Flaps And Horses's written reviews are positive against 93% of Octopus Evolution's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Only Flaps And Horses ships an update every 2 months, Octopus Evolution every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
