# ScoreCam vs SnipBack

The clearest difference is monetization model: SnipBack at free against ScoreCam's subscription. SnipBack also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 41%) and update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly). ScoreCam's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (1.8K vs 26). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ScoreCam sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and SnipBack sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ScoreCam holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ScoreCam has 1.8K ratings behind it against 26, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 41% of ScoreCam's written reviews are positive against 67% of SnipBack's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ScoreCam ships an update fortnightly, SnipBack every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
