# FileGuard vs Bliss

The clearest difference is rating: Bliss at 5.0 against FileGuard's 2.6. Bliss also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). FileGuard's advantage is ratings volume (320 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FileGuard sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Bliss asks for nothing beyond the download.

Bliss holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FileGuard has 320 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 56% of FileGuard's written reviews are positive against 75% of Bliss's.

FileGuard ships an update every 2 months, Bliss weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
