# FileGuard vs Kiliaro

The clearest difference is rating: Kiliaro at 4.3 against FileGuard's 2.6. Kiliaro also leads on review sentiment (75% vs 56%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). FileGuard's advantage is ratings volume (319 vs 12). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FileGuard sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Kiliaro sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Kiliaro holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FileGuard has 319 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 56% of FileGuard's written reviews are positive against 75% of Kiliaro's.

FileGuard ships an update every 2 months, Kiliaro every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
