# PeTalk vs Guinea Pig Communicator

The clearest difference is rating: PeTalk at 4.2 against Guinea Pig Communicator's 3.4. PeTalk also leads on ratings volume (445 vs 58). Guinea Pig Communicator's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PeTalk sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Guinea Pig Communicator asks for nothing beyond the download.

PeTalk holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PeTalk has 445 ratings behind it against 58, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of PeTalk's written reviews are positive against 50% of Guinea Pig Communicator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PeTalk ships an update every 4 months, Guinea Pig Communicator every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
