# Palette Home vs RoomPlan

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Palette Home at 65% against RoomPlan's 31%. Palette Home also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). RoomPlan's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 3.7). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Palette Home sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and RoomPlan sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RoomPlan holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 54 and 101 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Palette Home's written reviews are positive against 31% of RoomPlan's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Palette Home ships an update monthly, RoomPlan every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
