# Widgit Go Basic vs Voca Quest

The clearest difference is rating: Widgit Go Basic at 5.0 against Voca Quest's 4.0. Widgit Go Basic also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (9.3 vs 15.5). Voca Quest's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 33%) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Widgit Go Basic sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Voca Quest sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Widgit Go Basic holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Widgit Go Basic's written reviews are positive against 50% of Voca Quest's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Widgit Go Basic ships an update every 4 months, Voca Quest every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 20, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
