# Widgit Go Basic vs CardChat

The clearest difference is update cadence: CardChat at every 2 weeks against Widgit Go Basic's every 4 months. Widgit Go Basic's advantage is iOS requirement (9.3 vs 15.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Widgit Go Basic sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and CardChat sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Widgit Go Basic ships an update every 4 months, CardChat every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
