# Bakersfield Mobile vs Sunrun

The clearest difference is rating: Sunrun at 4.5 against Bakersfield Mobile's 3.9. Sunrun also leads on update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (3.4K vs 18). Bakersfield Mobile's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Sunrun holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sunrun has 3.4K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Bakersfield Mobile's written reviews are positive against 73% of Sunrun's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bakersfield Mobile ships an update every 8 months, Sunrun every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
