# Rachio vs BaitWatch

Rachio and BaitWatch both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of BaitWatch's written reviews are positive against 57% of Rachio's. BaitWatch also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). Rachio's advantage is ratings volume (159K vs 7) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rachio sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and BaitWatch sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rachio holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rachio has 159K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Rachio's written reviews are positive against 100% of BaitWatch's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rachio ships an update every 3 weeks, BaitWatch every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
