# Typr vs Palindrome

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Palindrome at 100% against Typr's 55%. Typr's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Typr sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Palindrome sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Typr holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Typr has 71 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of Typr's written reviews are positive against 100% of Palindrome's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Typr ships an update every 2 months, Palindrome every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
