# GRANBOARD vs SDBplay

The clearest difference is rating: GRANBOARD at 3.1 against SDBplay's 1.2. GRANBOARD also leads on ratings volume (515 vs 5). SDBplay's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GRANBOARD sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. SDBplay asks for nothing beyond the download.

GRANBOARD holds the better App Store score, 3.1 against 1.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GRANBOARD has 515 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of GRANBOARD's written reviews are positive against 43% of SDBplay's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GRANBOARD ships an update fortnightly, SDBplay every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
