# Wetter vs Sun

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Wetter at none against Sun's 3. Wetter also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 26.0). Sun's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months) and device support (4 vs 1). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sun sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Wetter asks for nothing beyond the download.

Wetter ships an update every 3 months, Sun every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
