RIQUO helps you keep track of the food you have, find recipes you can make with it, and waste less. ADD FOOD YOUR WAY Scan a grocery receipt, say what you bought, tap common staples, or type items in. Receipt scans are the most accurate; you can also snap a photo of a shelf or fridge, which may miss items, so the list is easy to review and edit. RIQUO estimates when food will expire and sorts it by category. Dates are estimates, and they get better as you correct them. RECIPES BY INGREDIENT Not sure what to cook? Pick the ingredients you want to use — or let RIQUO use your whole pantry — and get AI recipes you can make right now, starting with food that's about to expire. Each one comes with a cooking tip. RIQUO checks every recipe against your allergies, diet, and preferences (always double-check ingredients), and My kitchen keeps recipes to the appliances you have. Search for a specific dish or import recipes from photos or a PDF of a cookbook or handwritten card. SMART SHOPPING LIST Missing ingredients get added to your shopping list automatically. Frequently used items show up as quick-add suggestions, non-food items get their own Household section, and you can share your list with anyone. MEAL TRACKING Log what you cook to build a real history of your kitchen — see your most-cooked recipes and most-used ingredients over time. SHARED HOUSEHOLD PANTRIES Invite family or friends to a shared pantry so everyone sees the same inventory — while your personal saved recipes and cooking history stay private to you. Whether you're trying to reduce food waste, simplify meal planning, or just figure out what to make with what's already in your fridge, RIQUO helps you cook smarter with what you've got. RIQUO PLUS (OPTIONAL SUBSCRIPTION) RIQUO is free to use. RIQUO Plus gives you 10x more AI scans, voice entries, and recipe ideas every week. Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: RIQUO at 3.0 against TacoTime's 1.8. RIQUO also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 4 months) and chart position (#189 vs unranked). TacoTime's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (24 vs 1). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RIQUO sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. TacoTime asks for nothing beyond the download.
RIQUO holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TacoTime has 24 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 12% of TacoTime's written reviews are positive against 0% of RIQUO's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
TacoTime ships an update every 4 months, RIQUO every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
