# Forest vs Focus Traveller

Forest and Focus Traveller both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 86% of Focus Traveller's written reviews are positive against 58% of Forest's. Forest's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (50K vs 4.1K). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Forest sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Focus Traveller sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Forest against 4.9 for Focus Traveller. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Forest has 50K ratings behind it against 4.1K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 58% of Forest's written reviews are positive against 86% of Focus Traveller's.

Forest ships an update weekly, Focus Traveller every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
