# Forest vs Pomo

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Pomo at 100% against Forest's 58%. Pomo also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Forest's advantage is ratings volume (50K vs 1) and chart position (#206 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Forest sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Pomo sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pomo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Forest has 50K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 58% of Forest's written reviews are positive against 100% of Pomo's.

Forest ships an update weekly, Pomo every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
