# Forest vs YourHour

The clearest difference is rating: Forest at 4.8 against YourHour's 3.7. Forest also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (50K vs 3). YourHour's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 58%) and in-app purchases (none vs 22). On price, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Forest sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. YourHour asks for nothing beyond the download.

Forest holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Forest has 50K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Forest's written reviews are positive against 100% of YourHour's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Forest ships an update weekly, YourHour every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
