# Yacht Timer vs Interval Stopwatch Timer

The clearest difference is rating: Yacht Timer at 4.5 against Interval Stopwatch Timer's 3.0. Yacht Timer also leads on ratings volume (10 vs 2). Interval Stopwatch Timer's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 75%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 18.6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Yacht Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yacht Timer has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Yacht Timer's written reviews are positive against 100% of Interval Stopwatch Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Yacht Timer ships an update every 5 months, Interval Stopwatch Timer every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
