# Focus Keeper vs Freedom

The clearest difference is monetization model: Focus Keeper at free with in-app purchases against Freedom's subscription. Focus Keeper also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). Freedom's advantage is chart position (#200 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus Keeper sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Freedom sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Focus Keeper holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focus Keeper has 32K ratings behind it against 6K, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Focus Keeper ships an update every 4 days, Freedom every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 19, 2026.
