# Focus Keeper vs Pomodoro

The clearest difference is rating: Focus Keeper at 4.8 against Pomodoro's 3.9. Focus Keeper also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (32K vs 20). Pomodoro's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 13) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus Keeper sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Pomodoro asks for nothing beyond the download.

Focus Keeper holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Focus Keeper has 32K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of Focus Keeper's written reviews are positive against 75% of Pomodoro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Focus Keeper ships an update every 4 days, Pomodoro every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
